NYESOM WIKE VOWS TO IMMORTALIZE DEAD CORP MEMBER, STATE ALLOWANCE TO BE INCREASE TO 10 AND 15K
River State Governor Nyesom Wike has vowed to immortalize the fallen Corp Member Mr Samuel Okonta, who died during the Rivers Rerun Election that took place Saturday in River State.
The Rivers State Governor made this assertion at the NYSC Headquarters in Port Harcourt and promised to assist to ensure that the police fish out the perpetrators of the infamous act. He added that the state will take care of the late corp member's immediate family.
The Governor promised that such incidents will not repeat itself anymore as his administration will take steps to ensure better security in the state.
He also informed the Corp Members that their State allowance will be increased from 10,000 to 15,000 for those serving outside of Port Harcourt. While those serving within the capital will be receiving #10,000 in place of the earlier #5,000.
