MOTHER THERESA TO BE DECLARED A SAINT
Goodnews for catholics. Pope Francis has revealed that Mother Theresa will be canonize and declared a saint on the 4th of September, 2016 on the eve of her death anniversary which was September 5, 1997.
Beloved and popular Nun with the heart of gold, late Mother Theresa founded the Missionaries of Charity, a religious order dedicated
to care of the “poorest of the poor,” in Kolkata, India in 1950 and dedicated her life to helping the poor even at the risk of her life.
By the time of her death, her order of
nuns had more than 4,000 members, known by their distinctive
blue-bordered white saris, working on five continents. They cared for
the sick and destitute in more than 130 countries, running soup
kitchens, AIDS hospices, leprosy centers and homes for needy women and
orphaned children.
.
It became imperative for her to be canonized after the 2008 miraculous healing of a Brazilian man with a brain
infection and kidney disease due to her intercession.
John Paul II
beatified her in 2003, after recognizing as miraculous the
healing of an Indian woman who people interceded her for.
