MADONNA DENIES GETTING DRUNK DURING SHOW

Superstar Madonna has denied rumors making rounds in the media that she was drunk at her Saturday show in Melbourne.
A number of tabloids and websites alleged Madonna was drunk when she took a swig from a prop bottle and then a flask during a clown bit during her show. Some characterized her behavior as “boozy.” while others claimed that Madonna was “drinking all her cares away.” It was alleged she was “guzzling booze” and “hit the bottle hard.” And the Daily Mail relied on a few fan tweets to report Madonna was “drunk.” That same tabloid further stated that she “swigged tequila from a fan’s hip flask.”
But it’s all wrong. In fact, in footage that TMZ posted on its site, after drinking from a bottle of vodka, Madonna told the crowd, “This isn’t even real.” And afterwards, when she pulled out her very own flask (not a fan’s), she said, “This is Kettle One (vodka),” not tequila. She added about the liquid in the flask, “Tastes just like water.” What the tabloids and webloids seemingly on purpose neglected to mention is that throughout the bit, there were circus sound effects, timed to Madonna’s cracks, and she herself even honked a clown’s horn after saying it tasted like water.
In any event, Gossip Cop is told the whole drunk bit was not real, but rather just part of Madonna’s performance. A production insider further assures Gossip Cop that Madonna’s all about “attention to detail and perfection,” and does not get “drunk” on

History 101: What is your status as a Nigerian citizen living in Nigeria.

In 1960, the Premier of the Northern region and Saurdauna of Sokoto, Ahmadu Bello while being interviewed by a BBC journalist boldly declared that the Nigerian government will first consider Northerners (qualified or not) in government positions. He announced that further consideration would be given to foreigners before  other Nigerians.  Here is the text interview. Bravery in Afghanistan.

The sad story of  Kathera is one that breaks many hearts. Living as a woman in Afghanistan, a largely patriarchal society hasn't helped either.  Kathera was sexually and physically abused by her father for 13 years, from age 11 till age 23. Her mom Zainab was beaten and forced to painfully watched the horrifying ordeal.  Kathera got pregnant, endured multiple forced abortions, and had two children for her father. He took one of the babies into the desert where he left it to die.  Kathera's Mom, Zainab unable to bear the abuses anymore took the risk to escape with the children. According to Zahra, nobody listened till she went on TV.  Her father's relations threatened to kill her believing she had brought shame to the family and her death was the only solution.
