Spirit-Life Christianity 1

This Lesson is one in a couple of series titled Spirit life Christianity. 


I have notice with dread and alarm the carnality in the spiritual lives of believers of the twenty-first century despite the multiplicity of churches; Hence the need for these series to revive us and put us back on track ready for the Master's return.


If a person is matured in Christ and has a great deal of the Holy Spirit and gives himself completely to the Holy Spirit so that the Holy Spirit can deliver him from anger, envy, quarreling, jealousy etc. by receiving a heavenly disposition and mortifying the deeds of the flesh, then God's Word calls him a Spirit man.  

However, if a person is a babe in Christ and has a little of the Holy Spirit and a great deal of the flesh, he is called carnal. Check 1 Cor. 3:1-4. Spirit Life Christianity is therefore one whereby a person has allowed the Holy Spirit to completely take over his behavior, actions and lifestyle. It is a deeper level of Christianity that drains out spiritual dullness, inactivity and carnality and fires up the believer to be actively involve in the course of the Master.  Read John 6:63, Eph 2:5. It is not bread and water Christianity, oh no, the Spirit-led Christian loves God far more deeply whether there is food and drink or not.         

 As the Almighty God who cannot be question; if he chooses to bless them with material benefits, so be it but if not, they continue to yield to his divine will.   Rom 8:39. Spirit life Christianity  is a holy union with God which calls for a higher level of consecration and total surrender even at the expense of your comfort and life. Ask Daniel and the three Hebrew youths. Daniel 1:8., 3:16-18. It is a intense love for the Master and a burning zeal to do as he wills or pleases. It is dead to self and alive to righteousness. It involves seeing him as he is yet not with the physical sight. Seeing him in his Grandeur, Splendor, Glory, Majesty, Holiness and Love. It involves having a true revelation of who God is and living according to that revelation. 

Spirit Life Christianity goes far beyond the superficial Christianity practiced by some in this age and time. it is not gracing the pews of the church or attending all weekly activities,(which is good). It goes beyond church membership and position. It involves heavenly surrender and brokenness. Its the life of Christ. It's a great life. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons and daughters of God.

History 101: What is your status as a Nigerian citizen living in Nigeria.

In 1960, the Premier of the Northern region and Saurdauna of Sokoto, Ahmadu Bello while being interviewed by a BBC journalist boldly declared that the Nigerian government will first consider Northerners (qualified or not) in government positions. He announced that further consideration would be given to foreigners before  other Nigerians.  Here is the text interview. Bravery in Afghanistan.

The sad story of  Kathera is one that breaks many hearts. Living as a woman in Afghanistan, a largely patriarchal society hasn't helped either.  Kathera was sexually and physically abused by her father for 13 years, from age 11 till age 23. Her mom Zainab was beaten and forced to painfully watched the horrifying ordeal.  Kathera got pregnant, endured multiple forced abortions, and had two children for her father. He took one of the babies into the desert where he left it to die.  Kathera's Mom, Zainab unable to bear the abuses anymore took the risk to escape with the children. According to Zahra, nobody listened till she went on TV.  Her father's relations threatened to kill her believing she had brought shame to the family and her death was the only solution.
